Palm Beach Opera: ‘Madama Butterfly’

Giacomo Puccini’s 1904 heartbreaker about Cio-Cio San and her faithless U.S. lover, Lt. Benjamin Franklin Pinkerton, was Puccini’s own favorite of his operas, and a sure-fire box office success. Moldovan soprano Inna Los is Butterfly, and the American tenor Scott Quinn is Pinkerton. Latvian mezzo Zanda Svede is Suzuki in a production directed by Sam Helfrich and conducted by house maestro David Stern.
