Because of audience demand, Palm Beach Dramaworks has added three new performance dates for Of Mice and Men at Don and Ann Brown Theatre in West Palm Beach.
New performance dates include Friday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. The theatre is located at 201 Clematis St. in downtown West Palm Beach.
Set in author John Steinbeck’s hometown of Salinas, Calif., during the Great Depression, Of Mice and Men is the tragic story of George and Lennie, two drifters in search of a better life.
Palm Beach Dramaworks’ production is directed by J. Barry Lewis and features John Leonard Thompson (George), Brendan Titley (Lennie), Paul Bodie, Cliff Burgess, Frank Converse, Dennis Creaghan, Betsy Graver, Christopher Halladay, Wayne Steadman, and Ricky Waugh.

Student rockers salute veterans
Student musicians throughout South Florida will be rocking out at the Red, White and Blues Festival in honor of Veterans Day.
School of Rock house bands from Miami, Coral Springs, North Palm Beach, South Palm Beach, Oviedo and west Broward are joining together for an open mic night with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that raises awareness for the needs of injured service members. Cost is $10.
Student musicians will perform during an open mic night and potluck dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lake Worth’s South Palm Beach School of Rock, 7433 S. Military Trail.
And from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, School of Rock musicians will perform at B.B. King’s Restaurant and Blues Club, 550 S. Rosemary Ave., at CityPlace in West Palm Beach.
In addition to individual private music instruction on guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards and/or drums, School of Rock students learn how to jam with their peers in a weekly practice session.
